Bayer has gained approval of a new fungicide mixture containing fenpicoxamid and isoflucypram called Jessico Fusion (M21430) and a copy of the label hot off the press has allowed me to list the label claims in full. It is available in the on-line UKPG and will be listed as a full entry in the 2026 edition of the book. Also of passing interest is that Corteva is going to split off its seed business under a new name and late in 2026 the pesticide arm will be re-named New Corteva. This will appear in the 2027 edition but since the name change has not yet gone through, it will remain Corteva in the 2026 edition.

New Approvals:

  • Interagro, the adjuvant supplier, has been taken over by Nichino which is now marketing adjuvants as well as their pesticide products Gozai (pyraflufen-ethyl), Moncut DS, Moncut Max (flutolanil) and Applaud 25SC (buprofezin). Note that all the adjuvant numbers have been revised to reflect the change of name and only Backrop, Kantoor, Sorento and Toil are now listed on the new web page – https://www.nichino.uk/.
  • Nichino also has a new flutolanil product in Moncut DSG (M21446) which appears identical to Moncut DS but the approval lasts until 15/12/2028.
  • Bayer has a new fungicide mixture in fenpicoxamid + isoflucypram called Jessico Fusion (M21430) which is approved for use in GB only and which is listed on the database as a full entry with full details of diseases controlled since I have just received a copy of the label text.
  • Bayer has also extended the range of crops on the Bandur (M 19679, aclonifen) to include combining peas, field beans and potatoes and expanded the approval of Sencorex Flow in GB (M20710, metribuzin) to include post-emergence use in early potatoes.
  • Clayton has duplicated its approval of Clayton Truss (M21245, trinexapac-ethyl) with a new MAPP No (M21417) with identical recommendations and expiry dates.
  • Life Scientific has copied its approval of LS Prothio Metco (metconazole + prothioconazole) with two new names and MAPP Nos – Loska (M21440) and Medra (M21432) all of which are only approved for use in GB. They are currently listed in the database as PAR until a label is available.
  • Adama has duplicated its fluroxypyr products Moraine and Tomahawk 2 with a new MAPP Nos (M21434 & 21421) for use in GB only and which run until 30/6/2032 while the originals still expires 15/8/2029.
  • Certis Belchim has gained approval for a liquid formulation of Insyst called Insyst SL (M21385, acetamiprid) which adds oats, rye, triticale and wheat to the crops on the approved list.
  • Fargro has a new approval for Lepinox Plus (M16269 & 21436, Bacillus thuringiensis kurstaki E2348) with the former expiring in NI 15/2/2027 but continuing in GB until 31/10/2029 and the latter approved only in GB until 31/10/2031.
  • Syngenta has built on its approval of Orodis Plus (M19305, oxathiapiprolin) with a new product called Orondis VIP (M21443) which contains metalaxyl-M + oxthiapiprolin with an expanded list of approved crops which includes outdoor and protected crops of baby leaf crops, endives, lamb’s lettuce, lettuce and rocket as well as outdoor herbs, some brassicas, spinach, leeks and salad onions. Full details are given in the on-line UKPG database but it is only listed as PAR until I obtain a copy of the label.
  • Syngenta has also duplicated its Priori Gold (M19226, azoxystrobin + difenoconazole) with two new MAPP Nos – M21455 & 21456. Both now include wheat in the list of approved crops with M21455 for GB use only and approved until 30/6/2031. M21456 is for use in NI only and approved until 15/9/2028.
  • Corteva has duplicated its new product Manhattan (M21091, florasulam + halauxifen-me + pyroxsulam) with a new name and MAPP No – Detroit (M21450). It has been entered in the database as PAR until intention to market is confirmed.

  • Vivid (M10898, pyraclostrobin) has two new EAMUs that merely replace existing EAMUs to allow treatment of grass seed crops, rye, triticale and ornamental plant production, making it clear that durum wheat can also be treated since wheat is already approved on the label. The re-issue is due to extra precautions to protect amphibians.
