BCPC’s Online UK Pesticide Guide – New products and approvals July 2025

1st July 2025

Updates to UKPG database for July 2025

Most surprising this month is the fact that glyphosate products now have their approval in Northern Ireland set to expire 15/6/2026 but the approval of all these products continues in GB only, currently until 9/9/2099 – see the withdrawal section below.  Is Bayer losing the fight to keep glyphosate in some areas?  The same fate seems to be happening to Crystal (M13914, flufenacet + pendimethalin) and other formulations containing flufenacet which will continue in GB but will expire in NI on10/12/2026.  Is this all a carry-over from Brexit?

New Approvals:

  • Clayton has continued the trend in duplication with a new MAPP No for Clayton Dale (M21325, folpet) but unlike the original (M21154) this one is restricted to use in GB only. Expiry dates are identical for both products.
  • Agrii has gained a 400 g/l clopyralid formulation (M21322) with identical approval and expiry date to Cliophar from UPL and, like the UPL product, is only approved for use in GB.
  • Sharda has a new ferric phosphate product in Ferro (M21337) which is approved for use on all edible and non-edible crops and on amenity vegetation with no latest time of application stipulated. It is currently listed in UKPG as PAR until availability is confirmed.

  • Taminco has duplicated its chlormequat products Manipulator, Barleyquat B, Bettaquat B, K2 and Selon with new MAPP Nos – 21332, 21328, 21330, 21331 & 21333 with identical recs and expiry dates to the originals (M17207, 17204, 17208, 17206 & 17209).
  • FMC has replaced its Provalia (M18798, fluroxypyr + metsulfuron –me + thifensulfuron) with a new MAPP No (M21336) and the expiry date of the original drops to 30/11/2026 while the new MAPP No is approved until 28/2/2029.
