30 April 2004 Poster offers sought for BCPC event in Glasgow The world renowned, annual BCPC gathering of the international crop production industry has a new format for 2004. A series of six highly topical, in-depth and complimentary seminars will be held between Monday 1 November to Wednesday 3 November 2004. The BCPC Seminars will provide a forum for unbiased, scientific debate and discussion based around papers given by carefully selected invited speakers. The organisers, chairmen and speakers are all internationally acclaimed and influential experts in their fields. "The seminars will focus on three challenging Crop Science & Technology themes," explains Mr Chris Todd, managing director of BCPE. "The three themes for 2004 are: food issues, including food safety and well-bring; water and the environment; crop protection, including the regulation and impact of biotechnology. This new-style event will alternate with the BCPC International Congress which will return in 2005." All sessions will be run on an interactive basis with delegate participation encouraged. Delegates can pick and choose which seminars they sign up for – over the three days, there will be six seminars, half lasting one and a half days, and the other half being concentrated on one day. Details of the programme are given on the Seminars website here. Offers of posters sought Poster sessions have always been a key part of BCPC events. The 2004 BCPC Seminars will be no exception.
