This year's BCPC Exhibition, alongside the XVI International Plant Protection Congress, looks set to continue building on the success of previous events. This year the event again takes place at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Glasgow and runs from Monday 15th October to Wednesday 17th.

As the recognised meeting place for the leading players in the global crop protection industry, the Exhibition looks set to attract another record-breaking number of worldwide visitors and leading trade exhibitors.

With a wide range of exhibition stands and innovative facilities, including hospitality booths, poster stands and literature stands, there are also a range of opportunities for sponsorship arrangements to deliver a host of marketing messages during the conference.

The two and-a-half-day Exhibition offers suppliers of products and services to the global crop production and protection industries the ideal environment to promote their areas of operation. Exhibitors at this year's event include the usual wide range of products and services - contract research, manufacture and formulation, agrochemical active ingredients, plant nutrients, sprayers, application equipment and information services/systems. Two-thirds of the stands are already reserved, and a number of new exhibitors - promoting packaging, chemical intermediates and biological control - have already taken stands. Over a dozen countries are represented, emphasising the international reputation gained by the event.

One company which exhibits at the BCPC Congress each year is global contract research organisation, RCC Ltd. Dr John Schol, Project Manager at RCC Ltd, comments, "The event is always very well organised and it has always proved a valuable conference for us as clients are prepared to come wherever it is located." He continues, "The BCPC hospitality suites are also near to the Congress and Exhibition venue, so clients can speak in confidence - which makes it much more likely you will get new business"

The state-of-the-art stands and facilities available to exhibitors are another positive aspect of the event. "We can gain new business from people coming to the stand to find out more about us, so it's essential for us to come again this year." John adds, "The congress also gives us the opportunity to achieve repeat business by maintaining close, face-to-face contact with our clients."

There are several new attractions for the visitor to the event this year - a number of half and one-day specialist Seminars will take place alongside the Congress on subjects of commercial interest, such as Product Stewardship and Public Health Pest Control. The inaugural Agrow Awards ceremony, co-hosted by BCPC and Agrow, will also be an industry first that is bound to attract many commercial visitors.

The BCPC Exhibition is open from 10am on Monday 15th October until 2pm on Wednesday 17th. To reserve a stand contact Dr Colin Ruscoe, Exhibition Director on +44 (0) 1428 714456 or email: expro@bcpc.org. Entrance to the Exhibition is free of charge.
