The e-Pesticide Manual 3.2

News Releases

31st October 2005

The latest version of The e-Pesticide Manual, now available from BCPC, makes it easy to keep up-to-date with the very latest pesticide information. Edited by Dr Clive Tomlin, The e-Pesticide Manual version 3.2 updates the printed thirteenth edition of The Pesticide Manual and version 3.1 of the CD.

"The e-Pesticide Manual 3.2 allows the user to keep right up-to-date and extract data quickly and effectively," explains the editor, Dr Clive Tomlin. "Another 5 main entries have been added, along with 10 superseded substances not previously included – and all superseded entries now include more data, bringing them in line with the main entries. In addition the toxicological and environmental reviews have now been clarified, glossary links have been improved to include Family names and the bibliography has been revised. In total the CD now contains over 8,700 product names including over 2,000 discontinued products which must make it one of the most comprehensive and up-to-date global pesticide reference sources."

The e-Pesticide Manual version 3.2 is easy to install and allows users to access and search all the data that appear in the book in a totally interactive way. The CD software for PCs enables users to undertake their own complex tailor-made searches.

Information can be customised to download or print, direct links made to websites of manufacturers and crop protection organisations and chemical structure graphics exported for use in presentations. Network users can also export physico-chemical data directly into spreadsheets for detailed data analysis.

Copies of The e-Pesticide Manual version 3.2 on CD are £250 + VAT and overseas delivery. Prices for network users are available on application.
