1 November 2004 A great deal from BCPC As a result of changes to its charter and its broader crop production remit, BCPC is planning to respond to requests from commercial organisations for closer association by introducing a Business Membership scheme. "The offer is aimed at companies and individuals who currently use BCPC’s products and services," explains Mr Chris Todd, managing director of BCPE. "Not only will they benefit from significant discounts on our whole product range, priority bookings for exhibition stands and free website listings, but also from an enhanced range of products in the future." BCPC is about to embark on a major new business expansion programme in order to deliver an increased range of products and services. The expansion of its existing products and services will include marketing The Pesticide Manual and The Manual of Biocontrol Agents into new territories. It will build on the growing success of its Congress, increasing commercial activity and delivering additional fora and symposia. Planned new additions to the product portfolio under evaluation include such projects as: crop protection product use handbooks for less economically developed countries, a need recognised by international agencies; a series of garden information products based on the Garden Detective CD-ROM; publications for primary schools to support the National Curriculum for Science. The Business Membership benefits will relate to the level of investment. Organisations can become Silver Business Members for a subscription of £250-£500, Gold Business Members for a minimum subscription of £1,000 or Platinum Business Members for a minimum subscription of £2,500.
