1 November 2004 BCPC to host major event in 2007 BCPC is delighted that the International Association for the Plant Protection Sciences (IAPPS) XVI th International Plant Protection Congress will run in association with its International Congress – Crop Science & Technology 2007 at the SECC, Glasgow, UK from 15 to 18 October 2007. "The IAPPS Congress is a large affair, and usually held every four years," explains Dr David Alford, BCPC. "The last time we hosted the event was in 1983. In May this year, the XV th Congress was held in Beijing, China, and was attended by over 2,000 fully registered delegates. In 2007, not only will we be organising a full and exciting scientific and technical programme with speakers from around the world, but there will also be an important exhibition and many commercial options."
