'Challenges in the conduct of regulatory environmental studies'

During the development of an agrochemical it is necessary to determine the nature of any residues in soil, to perform field residue trials and to analyse for parent compound and relevant metabolites.

Three presentations on these aspects of development will be given during this seminar. The first addresses the analytical challenges of environmental fate work – particularly when the properties of a compound make analyses difficult. The second presentation discusses how, as a CRO, Covance manages the analytical and field phases of residue studies. The last presentation outlines current and proposed guidance for validating the analytical methods used to determine residue levels.
