An ideal venue to do business
This annual event attracts crop protection professionals from around the world. It is an ideal place to network and conduct business. There is therefore much demand for meeting room and entertainment facilities.

BCPC has reserved facilities, not only within the SECC, but also within several of the onsite and city centre hotels.

Hospitality suites and booths
Our hospitality suite package offers exciting promotional and advertising opportunities, only available to those companies booking suites and meeting rooms directly with BCPC. The package for 2005 includes:

• Official Congress directional signage to your hospitality suite and listing on the official hospitality suite signs situated at key locations around the venue;
• Publication of your room/suite number in the official BCPC Congress Programme and Exhibition Catalogue;
• A list of all pre-registered delegates at the BCPC Congress who have consented to the disclosure of their details (with addresses, telephone and fax numbers), available six, four and two weeks prior to the event;
• Notification of your hospitality suite on the BCPC Congress website, also viewable at the on-site Cyber Café;
• Facility to set up a two-way hyperlink between the BCPC Congress website and your own company website;
• A comprehensive manual providing information and booking forms to assist with your planning and advise you where to obtain goods and services for your hospitality suite;
• Two reduced rate registrations and a copy of the Congress proceedings;
• The right for you to use the phrase 'in conjunction with The BCPC Congress - Crop Science & Technology 2005' and BCPC Congress logo, on your congress-associated promotional material;
• A 10% discount on all sponsorship package prices.

Each hospitality booth is constructed with sound-absorbing walls and the package includes lighting, table and chairs. All booths are 12sqm in size and cost £1,950 +VAT. Extra items can be ordered directly with the contractors by the occupier.

The booths are available for hire for the three-day duration of the Congress. There are currently only 12 booths still available for companies to hire. Those interested in booking should contact Miss Becky Dyer. Tel +44 (0) 1420 593 200 or Email: becky.dyer@bcpc.org as soon as possible.

Hospitality suite availability
All suites will be sold for a minimum three-day package and will include the full hospitality suite benefits listed above.
Please note that it is not possible to remove furniture from the suites.

Hotels adjacent to the SECC
The Moat House Hotel
The Moat House Hotel is adjacent to the SECC and is linked directly to the Area where the BCPC Congress will be held. This is the Congress headquarters hotel and offers a wide range of meeting rooms and suites. In addition, a number of specially constructed hospitality booths will be available for hire which will provide flexible meeting space in close proximity to the BCPC Congress. As suites at the Moat House are likely to sell out very rapidly, early booking is highly recommended.

The City Inn Hotel
The City Inn Hotel is located next to the SECC and proved to be very popular with companies attending the BCPC Seminars last year. The hotel is modern in style and is able to offer several purpose built meeting rooms.
All suites are now fully booked.

The Campanile Hotel opened in 2003 and is located within easy walking distance of the SECC.

Hotels in the City Centre
Situated in the heart of the city, within minutes of each other are the Marriott Hotel, the Hilton Hotel and the Milton Hotel (now called The Glasgow Menzies Hotel). They are approximately 15 minutes walk, or a five minute taxi ride away from the SECC. A free of charge BCPC shuttle bus service will also run to and from The SECC from these hotels.

The Marriott Hotel
This four star hotel situated right in the city centre offers an excellent variety of purpose built meeting rooms for companies wishing to be close to both the city and the SECC. Suites vary in size and can accommodate from 10 to 40 people.

The Hilton Hotel
The Hilton is Glasgow's premier five star hotel in a prime location (five minutes walk from the city centre) and has excellent facilities for all guests. The hotel has a number of purpose built hospitality suites.
All suites are now fully booked.

Menzies Hotel (formerly known as the Milton Hotel)
The Menzies Hotel offers both purpose built meeting rooms and split level apartments. The purpose-built meeting rooms are able to accommodate a minimum of 25 people in a boardroom setting. The split-level apartments contain a sleeping area on the mezzanine level and a lounge area at ground level, which is ideal for smaller meetings.
