The 2006 BCPC Exhibition
The BCPC Crop Science and Technology Conference at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC), Glasgow, UK is the annual meeting place for the global crop protection industry. It includes the leading trade exhibition for suppliers to the industry worldwide.

Entrance to the exhibition is FREE for all visitors.

During the two and a half day conference and exhibition our visitors negotiate an estimated £5m of high margin sales. Exhibition stands and hospitality booths, literature stands and sponsorship opportunities provide a range of marketing platforms at the conference venue.

New products - and particularly those with novel effects, are one of the key features of the 2006 BCPC Exhibition. Of course we also have - as always - a full range of service and product suppliers to the worldwide crop production and crop protection industries.

New exhibitors continue to be attracted to this unique event - over one-third will be exhibiting for the first time in 2006. Over fifteen countries are represented, emphasising the international reputation of the event with exhibitors and the growing participation of companies from Eastern Europe is particularly noticeable.

No Smoking - It is now against the law to smoke in the majority of Scotland's indoor public places. For more information click here - www.visitscotland.com.

Crop Protection and Crop Production - New Products and Technologies
The attraction of the exhibition for new product launches is particularly evident in the fast-growing plant health sector - such as Biopesticides and Biostimulants, i.e. products derived from plants and micro-organisms. In 2005, participating companies in this sector increased to over 10% of the exhibition - and this trend is set to continue in 2006, with new companies participating and previous exhibitors expanding their presence. New products at the exhibition include plant stress reducing agents, foliar feeds, mineral and other nutrient uptake enhancers as well as eco-friendly formulation additives and biologically-based pest control agents. The Conference session on Interaction of micro-organisms and nutrients entitled Doing What Comes Naturally Beneficial Micro-organisms reflects the growing interest in one of these areas.
